Protecting this generation of students from spiritual and sexual abuse.

Exposing Abuse. Seeking Justice. Reviving Lives.

Wrestling Lions exists to expose spiritual and sexual abuse, confront systems that protect predators, seek justice for survivors, and equip students, parents, and leaders with discernment, courage, and tools for action.

We focus on college campuses and churches because that’s where authority is rarely questioned, access is easily spiritualized, and silence is often rewarded as faithfulness.

We are not anti-church.
We are anti-cover-up.

We believe exposure is not the enemy of faith. Deception is. Our work turns confusion into clarity, isolated stories into documented patterns, and exposure into reform that lasts.

Silence almost cost an entire generation.
We’re not letting it cost another.

WHAT YOU’RE FUNDING

Fueling the Front Lines

You are funding a full-time effort to investigate abuse, educate the public, and build tools that protect students.

Ron Bloomingkemper Jr. is a designer and advocate who uses research, storytelling, and practical tools to expose how spiritual and sexual abuse operates inside trusted Christian institutions, especially on college campuses.

Your monthly support puts me to work and gives this mission the time and capacity to keep moving forward, including:

  • Documenting survivor stories

  • Tracking patterns of abuse

  • Creating student field guides

  • Writing investigations and case studies

  • Building abuse reporting resources

  • Educating students and parents

  • Producing the Wrestling Lions Podcast

  • Expanding the XA Lions Den forum

building the Foundation

This year, we are focused on building the core infrastructure that makes this work sustainable and effective. Instead of reacting to crisis after crisis, Wrestling Lions will develop practical tools, guides, and systems that help students, parents, and survivors recognize spiritual abuse, report it properly, and bring hidden patterns into the light.

These resources will create a clear path for accountability while equipping the next generation with the discernment and courage to confront unhealthy ministries.

    • Assemblies of God Accountability Toolkit

      • The Reporting Playbook

      • District Contact Directory

      • Formal Complaint Templates

      • Documentation Checklist

      • “Know the System” Explainer

    • Wrestling Lions Website Hub and podcast

    • Release the Free Download:
How to Spot a Spiritual Abuser in 60 Seconds.

    • Chi Alpha Campus Forum Expansion:
      Every campus represented on XALionsDen.com

  • We will release the Education Tools, including the Student Field Guide, the Welcome Week Survival Kit to help students spot unhealthy ministries during campus recruitment, and the Parent Companion Guide to equip families with the right questions to ask before their student joins a campus ministry.

  • We will expand the Community Network by building out the forum so every Chi Alpha campus has a place where students and staff can share their experiences, compare notes, and identify patterns that might otherwise remain hidden.

  • We will prepare the Legal and Legislative Engine by creating resources that help survivors document their experiences, understand their rights, and engage upcoming statute of limitations legislation through clear guides, contact templates, and advocacy tools.

  • "The only things that moved the needle for institutional reform is when survivors speak, journalists investigate, and lawsuits force accountability."
